My Background
Personal Profile
Hiya Loves!
I’m Dr. Ashley Nash, PhD, LCMHC, NCC—a licensed mental health therapist, founder of Trauma;Thrived PLLC, and a passionate advocate for emotional liberation, ancestral healing, and the mental wellness of Black women. Most recently, I was named one of the Top 50 Women Leaders of Raleigh for 2025 by The Women we Admire. More to the story and my mission, I am Ashley, a survivor and diagnosed provider. Based in North Carolina, I bring over a decade of experience into every session, blending clinical expertise with lived experience and culturally grounded, spirit-led care.
I created Trauma;Thrived as more than just a practice—it’s a movement, a brand, a sanctuary. It’s where traditional therapy meets narrative healing, mindfulness, expressive arts, and trauma-informed care. My work supports those navigating depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, grief, life transitions, and racial identity concerns. And my approach? Person-centered. Spiritually attuned. Deeply empowering.
I believe therapy should feel like home—honest, sacred, and rooted in the truth that we all have the right to heal.
People often describe me as warm, grounded, and intuitive—someone who holds space not just clinically, but soulfully. I carry my personal mantra into everything I do:
“Be the person I needed when I was younger.”
It’s not just a motto—it’s the heart of my work.
When I’m not in session, you’ll find me teaching, speaking, or curating healing tools: ritual items, intentional jewelry, resources designed for full-spectrum restoration. Whether I’m on stage, in a private practice room, or behind the table at a community event, my purpose remains the same—
To help us all discover who we are past what the world asked us to be.
